We strongly advise that potential purchasers contact The Breed Council Secretary or any of the Chow Breed Club Secretaries with reference to a breeder before making payment. People looking for a puppy may find the Kennel Club's website of use where they will find a list of breeders who are part of the Assured Breeder Scheme and a list of puppies available for purchase. |

their Club Secretary with any items they wish the Breed Council to discuss and
the relevant Breed Club Delegates will raise the matter on your behalf.

The
aims and objectives of the Breed Council are : To urge Breeders, Judges and Show Committees to accept the Breed Standard as the only standard of excellence for the breeding and judging of Chow Chows. The Council will encourage activities with the clubs, helping to create facilities for those seeking information to further their knowledge of the breed, and to maintain and promote the standard of excellence in the breed. To enable all member Chow Chow Clubs in the U.K. to speak with a united voice on all matters affecting the breed. To maintain judges lists and support the training and education of judges. To make recommendations to the Committee of the Kennel Club. As at 2011 the Chow Chow Breed Council consists of nine participating clubs. Two representatives from each Club meet three times a year to discuss Chow related topics |
